An Irish personal evangelistic site. I'm not representing a particular church, but it's broadly evangelical in tone. My aim is to cover topics I've encountered in discussions I've had over the years, mainly here in Ireland..
I’d like to be an eagle. But maybe I’d be happy to any any kind of a bird. I’m sure that we all love the notion of flying. I can see that in music. Here are some examples: Here’s a list of some other flying songs: Wings of a Dove – Madness On the Wings … Continue reading An Eagle
I don’t know how to answer this one 😀. I did look up AI to ask what technology might not exist in 20 years. Among these was mechanical steering wheels. It might not exist because our cars will be fully autonomous. But surely some will want to maintain control, and vintage cars will still exist. … Continue reading Mechanical Steering Wheels
I’ve read the Bible more than any other book. Strictly speaking, The Bible has 66 books, but when I think of a book, I think of something that looks like a single book. And I probably read the Bible online (e.g. Bible Gateway) or listen to it nowadays more than reading a physical book. But … Continue reading Wonderful Words of Life
In a sense, everyone is a lifelong learner. Life itself teaches us many lessons. How would you avoid learning? But maybe some are a little more systematic about learning. For example, for all my interests, whether it’s spiritual matters, hobbies, such as music, or my various careers, I’m always eager to learn. I do go … Continue reading Yes Indeed
Various habits have improved my physical, mental, and spiritual health. And I can think of plenty of simple, fun activities that put me in a good mood, such as playing music and games. But if I’m to think in terms of “the most”, then it’s engaging with God. As as young child, I was encourged … Continue reading Engaging with God
I don’t think that I can find any period that stands out as being particularly harder than any other era. I had a few difficult days or weeks, but extreme trouble never went on too long thankfully. But in general life, in any given week, school, university or work was the hard bit. I’d look … Continue reading In This World, You Will Have Trouble
Most fictional books that I’ve read are old classics by people like Charles Dickens and Jane Austen. I did wonder if any of these deserve sequels, but I don’t like the notion of adding to something that already seems quite complete. I can’t think of any examples, but if someone were to create a Pride … Continue reading Perhaps None
Perhaps it depends on what’s meant by villain. Maybe I could understand it as a dictator who has a vision for their nation, empire, or the whole world. A stopped clock shows the right time twice a day. Likewise, I would think that most villains are right about some issues. It would be fine if … Continue reading All?
I wrote about Cambridge before, so I’ll do some copy and pasting today 😀. My favourite weather is sunny but not too hot – the sort of weather we get here in Ireland in the autumn. I think of everywhere else in the world as being a little too hot or too cold. I’m sure … Continue reading Cambridge, England
If we habitually seek to control everything and dread the thought of unpredictability, our world gets smaller and smaller. This is especially true for those of us who have anxious temperaments. And one way to tackle this is to introduce a little chaos into your life. When I say little, I really mean little. You … Continue reading Definitely
