Yes Indeed

In a sense, everyone is a lifelong learner. Life itself teaches us many lessons. How would you avoid learning? But maybe some are a little more systematic about learning. For example, for all my interests, whether it’s spiritual matters, hobbies, such as music, or my various careers, I’m always eager to learn. I do go through stages where I’m more relaxed – particularly now that it’s the summer holidays. But when September comes, I think that I’ll be eager to get stuck into something, even though I’m retired.

It’s great nowadays with the web. In my earlier years at Univerisity etc., I thought that when I retired, I’ll be free to learn as I choose and not have to do unpleasant projects, exams etc. And now I’ve reached that point. But the downside is that I don’t see much scope for using what I learn in terms of academic subjects. In spiritual matters, I think it’s always good to do anything that sets you thinking about God and His word. I’ll be doing that for eternity, and I’m eager to begin in this life.
