In spiritual terms, I’d like to see a huge revival all over the world, with everyone loving God more, loving one another more, and trusting in Jesus for salvation. We’ll always need a Saviour.
If I think in silly selfish terms 😀, I’d like to be able to teleport anywhere in the world and travel in time to any stage of my life or even any moment in history.
But maybe, we could have both. When God creates a new heaven and a new earth in the future, all that’s bad will be gone, and all that’s good will be even better. So, instead of teleporting around the world using YouTube or GoogleEarth, maybe we could have a model of the old universe that’s so real that it looks and sounds exactly the same except that it wouldn’t have any spiders in it 😀.
But anyway, maybe my interests will change in the future and my dreams will too. Or maybe, I’ll just be living a dream. For now, I should prayer for revival. Here are words that Peter wrote back in the first century, when thousands had responded to the message of the gospel. I’d like to think that billions would respond and share in the future hope. Statistically, billions are already classed as Christians, but what counts is personal faith.
1 Peter 1:2-5
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
