Hymns: With All I Am

I’ve been exploring some of the very modern worship songs as an old guy πŸ˜€. But now, I’ve decided to alternate between very modern hymns, old hymns, and in-between hymns, namely the worship songs from the 60s to the 90s that feature in hymnbooks such as Mission Praise. Today it’s the turn of the very modern hymns.

Today’s song is With All I Am from 2004.

With All I Am
Lyrics

I heard this one for the first time today. I like to discover new hymns. I’d love to get to the stage whereI knew them all in the way that I know and love so many secular songs from all stages of my life. Of course, I probably don’t know many very modern secular songs either, but it’s always a joy to discover some catchy ones.

And it’s even better to discover new worship songs. I watched a video a few days ago which suggested that many of the modern megachurch movements, such as Hillsong, are fading because of scandals etc. Well, I hope that anything sinister or silly will fade, but I am deeply grateful for all those who’ve produced music that helps me to worship. Likewise, in secular music, I don’t need to approve of the lifestyles of pop and rock stars to be impressed by their music.

Anyway, here are some other versions of today’s hymn:
