I hardly know what a trope is. I had to look it up:
A trope is a common theme, pattern, device, or convention that appears repeatedly in stories, films, TV shows, literature, and other forms of communication.
I blame myself for getting annoyed. I expect tropes in books and movies. For example, in some of the Lord of the Rings movies, the army of ents (tree-like beings) or whatever come to the rescue at the last minute, just as everything appears hopeless. And in Harry Potter, the Draco Malfoy character was quite annoying.
But the actor,Tom Felton, went to to star in a movie from 2016 – Risen – a movie about the resurrection of Jesus. I tend to merge actors with the character they play – so I was pleased to see Tom Felton play a different role. I can’t remember whether he was a good guy in Risen, but he wasn’t an annoying trope 😀.
Risen is a fictional movie. Some would be very troubled by a fictional movie on the theme of the resurrection, but I like anything that provokes me to think about the resurrection. If I want the truth, I can simply open my Bible.
What’s annoying in blogs is when people answer the daily prompt and end up doing the same thing everyday – like me – shifting the theme to a Christian message. I’m very annoying – but it motivates me to answer the prompt and it keeps me out of mischief 😀.
So here are some resurrection hymns:

I actually like how you’re able to relate everything to the Bible. That is a skill.
