I have lots of books that I never finished but still think about 😀. The one that haunts me most is The Gagging of God by Don Carson.
I have read a good bit of it, but sometimes, I get distracted and come back and start all over in a few months – and get distracted again 😀. I suppose, I could think of it as a set of books because it’s a long book that covers a range of topics.

I bought it back in 1996. There’s a nice review of it on the Gospel Coalition website. And nowadays, I can always ask some AI apps to summarize it for me.
My problem is I’m always a bit too eager to progress. I should learn to take my time. And nowadays, it’s all too easy to find some topicof interest in the book and go and find some YouTube videos about it 😀 or some other resources. And maybe that’s OK. But I’d still like to feel that I’ve read it all.
Here are two resources that I just discovered:
The one thing that I need to be careful about is that when I was younger, I tended to be very judgemental about anyone outside my own theological circles. So, you can easily become a little too zealous about hunting for heresy. But it’s also good to be aware of silly or sinister trends.
I always like to end with a few songs. Let me find a couple on the theme of truth – as revealed by God rather than what’s true of me 😀.
