An Irish personal evangelistic site. I'm not representing a particular church, but it's broadly evangelical in tone. My aim is to cover topics I've encountered in discussions I've had over the years, mainly here in Ireland..
I’ve been exploring some of the very modern worship songs as an old guy 😀. But now, I’ve decided to alternate between very modern hymns, old hymns, and in-between hymns, namely the worship songs from the 60s to the 90s that feature in hymnbooks such as Mission Praise. Today it’s the turn of the old … Continue reading Hymns: I Sought the Lord
Wonderland (from Alice in Wonderland) is the most appealing wonderland for me. Many fictional worlds are a little scary, although maybe Hobbiton from Lord of the Rings would be appealing since they defeated Dark Lord of Mordor. But that’s a real place in New Zealand. Wonderland feels more magical. I always liked the Cheshire cat. … Continue reading Wonderland

Well, many historical events weren’t particularly happy ones. Maybe I’d like to witness the Christmas truce between the British and the Germans in 1914, but it didn’t last very long. My grandfather fought in World War 1. And my other grandfather was in the merchant navy during both world wars. Either could have been killed. … Continue reading Breakfast with the Risen Jesus

I answered something like this some months ago – here’s my answer again 😀 I never saw much point in tattoos. I do remember bubble gum as a kid, where you’d get this piece of paper that you licked and placed on your arm, and it left a temporary tattoo. It might have been called … Continue reading Keep Praying
I met my wife back in September 1985 at our little Christian Union (CU) in college. Nowadays, the CU is much much bigger, as is the university, so I’d have many more girls to choose from, but I’d also have much more competition 😀. It is quite fascinating having someone commit themselves to you for … Continue reading University of Limerick Christian Union (CU)

To be honest, I don’t think that I should use the word “love”. Maybe “like” would be more suitable. My experience as a child was having Irish culture “rammed down my throat”. People resented that. Certain factions hated all things British or foreign. I can understand why. After independance back in 1922, there was a … Continue reading Traditional Irish Music
