I’ve been exploring some of the very modern worship songs as an old guy 😀. But now, I’ve decided to alternate between very modern hymns, old hymns, and in-between hymns, namely the worship songs from the 60s to the 90s that feature in hymnbooks such as Mission Praise. Today it’s the turn of the old hymns.
Today’s song is Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus Our Blessed Redeemer from 1869.

I remember frequently singing this in church back in the 1980s and 1990s. It’s another one of these hymns that doesn’t directly address God. We sing and encourage each other to praise Jesus, and there’s so much to praise Him for.
I don’t hear it much in church these days, but I’m sure it’ll never be forgotten. Here are some other versions:
