Music has always been a major part of my life, so I would think of it as my main means of relaxation. I think of Mike Oldfield’s, 1973 album, Tubular Bells, which was quite unique at the time but there were a few other 1970s albums that I used to relax to. I think particularly of Atom Heart Mother and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.
Of course, nowadays, you can get all sorts of meditation music. I quite enjoy listening to hymns, both for their spiritual content, but also for their music, especially The New English Hymnal.
A couple of days ago, I went into my house on my Meta Quest. It’s a free application named Alcove, where you can wander around your house and find lots of little surprises. I hadn’t been in it for a while, but I found this bubble where you can go into a 3D 180-degree meditation in various spots in Madeira. I decided to stick with it rather than just have a quick peep (which I usually do), and I found it surprisingly relaxing. The video on the right is somewhat similar.
