An Irish personal evangelistic site. I'm not representing a particular church, but it's broadly evangelical in tone. My aim is to cover topics I've encountered in discussions I've had over the years, mainly here in Ireland..
I’d feel really weird going out without my key – the key to my home. I generally check for my wallet, key, and perhaps phone and earphones, but the key is the main thing. I’ve probably forgotten it a couple of times and locked myself out, but generally it’s just a comfort to know that … Continue reading Keys to the Kingdom
Well, I didn’t really intend to start a blog as such. I’m not into creative writing. I just thought that it might be nice to have a website that explained why I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible. Most church websites that I see seem to be driven by templates that focus … Continue reading Love and Understanding
The following hymns were published in 2003: I had no interest in new hymns back in 2003, but I am trying to familiarize myself with them now. Perhaps this isn’t a golden age of hymn writing, but I’d like to think that some will last a couple of centuries. There’s a series of albums called … Continue reading Hymns: 2003 Memories
One of my fantasies is being granted the power to identify who’s involved in evil activity, such as terrorism, drug dealing etc. and teleport them to hell immediately rather than wait until they die. Another option might be to send them to an alternative universe to live with people like themselves, but to have the … Continue reading He Shall Reign Forever
This will undoubtedly be my worst post ever 😀. I just wouldn’t bother buying an expensive meal. Even when I was dating my wife in my younger years, we’d check out the prices before we went for a meal, and I can never remember paying much at all. We do enjoy food, but for the … Continue reading Worst Post Ever
The story that I’ve chosen is all about a Crooked House in Birmingham. Seems it was subjected to an arson attack and demolished illegally. People are campaigning to have it rebuilt. It seemed slightly interesting because I was expecting it to look a little bit like the house in the “There Was a Crooked Man” … Continue reading There Was a Crooked House

I answered a question similar to this a few weeks ago in my Hard Habit to Break post. I described a few habits there. Perhaps I should just pick one. The question asks about joy. The word has a variety of meanings. At the deepest level, communing with God brings me joy. I like to … Continue reading Java Jive
I’m old enough to remember Ireland’s first Eurovision win; Dana with All Kinds of Everything. It’s a song about romance, but even apart from romance, you can take delight in learning about all kinds of everything. Think also of My Favourite Things from The Sound of Music. We sometimes laugh at such songs. When I … Continue reading All Kinds of Everything
We used the Mission Praise hymn book in our fellowship in Tipperary, and I don’t remember many 21st Century songs in it, if any. But some of the newer songs gradually found their way into Irish churches, though we stuck with Christian Hymns and Mission Praise in Tipperary. The most notable hymn from around 2002 … Continue reading Hymns: 2002 Memories
