An Irish personal evangelistic site. I'm not representing a particular church, but it's broadly evangelical in tone. My aim is to cover topics I've encountered in discussions I've had over the years, mainly here in Ireland..
I’ve been exploring some of the very modern worship songs as an old guy 😀. But now, I’ve decided to alternate between very modern hymns, old hymns, and in-between hymns, namely the worship songs from the 60s to the 90s that feature in hymnbooks such as Mission Praise. Today it’s the turn of the old … Continue reading Hymns: Count Your Blessings

I’ll be 64 in the next six months 😱. Paul McCartney sings “I could be handy mending a fuse, when your lights have gone“. But I don’t know anything about fixing fuses. So let’s hope that I don’t need to face the challenge of mending a fuse 😀. Seriously, I can’t think of any challenges … Continue reading When I’m 64

I was interested in Christianity, communism, and pacifism. Regarding communism, I wasn’t at all attracted to communism as practiced by the oppressive communist regimes. … Continue reading Listen to Older Folk

I was trying to think of a title for this post. I know a few songs with “bored” or “boring” in the title from my younger years: I’m So Bored with the USA – The Clash Bored Teenagers – The Adverts Being Boring – Pet Shop Boys But then I thought of a song about … Continue reading Everyday Is Like Sunday
I could say coffee, but I have it everyday 😀. Red wine is more of a treat. Alcohol can be problematic, as in the song Red Red Wine. It’s not something that I’d want to crave for comfort. Yet, it’s fine in moderation. In fact, I was reading an article a couple of days ago … Continue reading Red Red Wine

I don’t want to mention any names. They might not appreciate it, and those who aren’t included might not like the fact that their not favourites. Or maybe no-one cares either way 😀. But when I look back at my life, especially the stressful times in college or work, I have fond memories of warm, … Continue reading Warm, Humorous People
