I’ve been exploring some of the very modern worship songs as an old guy 😀. But now, I’ve decided to alternate between very modern hymns, old hymns, and in-between hymns, namely the worship songs from the 60s to the 90s that feature in hymnbooks such as Mission Praise. Today it’s the turn of the very modern hymns.
Today’s song is Yes I Will It’s from 2018.
So, what do we mean when we say “Yes I Will”?. The song centers on choosing to worship God in difficult circumstances, not just in good times.
Yes I will, lift You high in the lowest valley
Yes I will, bless Your name
Oh, yes I will, sing for joy when my heart is heavy
All my days, oh yes I will
And it displays confidence that however God responds to our prayers, He knows what He is doing as he works all things out for us, even though our journey in this life might be difficult at times:
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Ephesians 1:11
11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,
