When I created this site last year, a key page was Gospel in a Nutshell. I knew nothing about the Daily Prompt questions back then.
Unlike my silly daily rants, it doesn’t get many views or likes. And it isn’t all that short. I had intended to make a more concise version, and at some stage I will. That’s the whole point of the term “nutshell” π.
But yesterday, I was taking this excellent Udemy course, Succeed in the Age of AI, and Dr. Angela Yu happened to mention NotebookLM. I hadn’t actually known about it. It’s been available for the last few years.
So, this is how it works. You take your webpage and feed it into NotebookLM, and it generates a video summary or other helpful resources. It’s a learning tool. I’m 99% happy with how it interpreted my article. The only thing that confused me is the final bit, when it seems to believe that I leave the question of what is the purpose of a good life open.
I think that the post answers that question. But if it’s not clear, humans living good lives is good for us, for others, and for God. We do it out of love for God, for others, and for ourselves. We don’t do it to earn a place in heaven. Jesus has paid the price and salvation is a free gift.
Anyway, here’s the AI generated video π.
I’m looking forward to playing around with NotebookLM. Even if you don’t use it for publishing, it’s fun to play around with it. It can generate all sorts of resources, such as mock podcasts, quizzes, flashcards, and so on.
