I visit many cities virtually, through YouTube and various Google Earth-based applications on my Meta Oculus virtual reality (VR) headset. But for actual travel, I like to stay near home. I live in Limerick, Ireland and I’m originally from Cork. And, I’d be happy to visit any city in Ireland or the UK. I might venture further afield at some stage, but I’m not as motivated as I was in my younger days – and in the days before I could do it all virtually 😄.
I regularly watch Joolz on YouTube as he explores London. Here’s a Christmas video that he did a few years ago. And the first song that comes to mind when I think of London is London Town by Wings from 1978.
I didn’t visit London until 1981, to see Bob Dylan at Earl’s Court. But in my childhood, you’d have cousins and friends coming back from London. It seemed so exotic. And when I finally went there, I loved it …. still do.

“But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God.”
