Singing the Blues

This morning I was reading Psalm 108, and I looked up YouTube to see if I could find hymns on the psalm. I was surprised to find a blues song. And pretty soon, I found a whole lot more. It started me thinking of how gospel music can be found in so many different music genres. Some seem quite odd, but I try to subdue my cynical side nowadays πŸ˜€. I still prefer the old hymns, but it’s always nice to hear people praising God. And where in the Bible does it say that God prefers 18th Century hymns? πŸ˜€ – even if I do.

Here’s a few examples that I discovered:

Blues

Christian Reggae

I’m sure that there are many more genres. I even found some Christian punk rock and Christian death metal. I can’t imagine singing that in my church though πŸ˜….
