My favorite moments are when something that others might take little notice of hits me in a special way.
Two things that I can think of is when a baby smiles at me, such as when my youngest daughter first smiled at me, and when I’m in a beautiful place, such as ladies view, Killarney:

It’s hard to elaborate because such feelings are difficult to describe. We have plenty of days in life when we don’t have such feelings, but even then, it’s good to focus on such memories. I think of two songs I learned in childhood:
My own favorite things don’t necessarily match those of Julie Andrews, and there’s much in the world that isn’t wonderful, but I think it’s great to focus on these moments that do bring us joy. There’s much wisdom in these simple lines from My Favorite Things:
When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad.
It also makes me think of awesome wonder, as in the hymn, How Great Thou Art.
O Lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works
Thy hands have made,
I see the stars,
I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy pow’r throughout
The universe displayed!
It’s a pity that such moments are few and far between, but they are just a foretaste of what’s to come, as the last verse of the hymn demonstrates.
When Christ shall come
With shout of acclamation
And take me home,
What joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow
In humble adoration
And there proclaim,
My God, how great Thou art!
